COVID-19 State of Louisiana Orders to Shelter-in-Place
All of our meetings in the combined New Orleans and Unity Areas are encouraged to follow Governor Edwards “Stay at Home” Orders. The Governor’s order specifically, along with New Orleans Mayor Cantrell’s Proclamations, prohibit “small groups” from meeting. This would include all local NA meetings that have a physical location listed below. Therefore, we encourage everyone to attend either a virtual-online or by-phone meeting.
You can read the Governor’s complete directive here
And the Mayor’s proclamations here
Please stay safe and remain safely at home until this crisis passes.
Thank you

*NAMES OF INSTITUTIONS
These are the names of the institutions where meetings are located. The name is listed only as a reference. NA is not affiliated with any institution or organization and pays rent for all meeting space.

**CLOSED MEETINGS
These meetings are for individuals concerned about their own personal problems with drugs (including alcohol). If you are a family member or other interested party, please attend any open meeting. All meetings are open, unless marked as closed.

***GENDER BASED MEETINGS
We also have meetings that specifically address staying clean with a focus on gender related topics. This can include meetings for cisgender men, cisgender women or LGBTQ-inclusive and gender nonconforming persons. Each group will notate its focus. No one is turned away, but these meetings may veer toward discussing problems and solutions in recovery with a focus on gender.

MEETING AFFILIATION
Meetings in the metro area may join one of two NA Service Committees for organizational support. We designate these affiliations as follows:
NOA = New Orleans Area Service Committee
UA = Unity Area Service Committee
IM = Independent Meeting. Not affiliated with any service committee, but uses “The 12 Traditions of NA” as their operating principles.
